Swan River, Manitoba Swan River's Key Chevrolet, a Member of the Key Auto Group, is currently recruiting an Automotive Service Technician or a developing Technician (Year 3 or 4 of Apprenticeship Program). We are looking for an individual with excellent mechanical aptitude and a team mentality to join our Service Department. Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing the repair in a timely manner
  • Examining and test driving vehicles to determine what repairs are required or if additional service work is required
  • Performing the installation, repairs, alignments, changes, lubrication, replacement and overhaul of whichever parts/ areas needed
  • Communicating with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts and saving/ tagging parts if the repair is under warranty or if requested by the customer
  • Maintaining timely, accurate records of work performed on each repair
  • Participating in manufacturer sponsored training programs and keeping current of all manufacturer technical bulletins
  • Keeping work and shop area neat and clean; accounting for any/ all business owned tools and equipment at all times
  • Ensuring customer vehicles are kept clean
  • Notifying management of any difficulties or problems which risk interfering with the performance of quality of work • Maintaining any personal protective equipment required and following all health and safety

    procedures as per the Key Auto Group safety program


Requirements and Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Service Technician or 3rd or 4th year apprentices

• Valid Driver’s License

• Criminal Record clearance

• A good understanding the of the English language

• Your own set of automotive service repair tools and storage

• The ability to push, pull, or drag items 50 lbs. or less
